As my boss is preparing to close the company, I'm actively seeking alternative sources of income. To my astonishment, there's been a significant surge in the demand for content creation. Unfortunately, this influx has made it challenging for me to break into the field. Nevertheless, as I'm growing older, I've decided to document and share all the activities I've engaged in previously, serving as a way to recollect those memories that have faded over time.

I decided to reorganize them and attempt to monetize, but I soon realized that the monetization rules had changed since the old days. Unfortunately, my HD dreamscene assets weren't garnering any new views, which made it difficult to reach the requirement of 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours for monetization.

Undeterred, I continued filming. However, the journey was not without its moments of frustration and disappointment. During a free moment, feeling a bit down, I decided to investigate videos ranging from 1 million to 400 million views. These videos spanned from 2 to 11 hours in length. An idea struck me: why not combine four 15-minute videos into one 1-hour video, specifically 50 minutes? To my surprise, this strategy significantly boosted my view count, marking a milestone from 15 to 100 views. Inspired, I decided to create 1-hour long healing, calm, and relaxing music videos. For the audio, I used freely available tracks from YouTube, carefully selecting each one. However, I needed a video encoding solution, and VirtualDub emerged as the only viable option, as other alternatives required monthly subscriptions. I was hesitant to invest upfront and chose to reinvest my modest earnings to grow the channel's income gradually. Everything seemed promising. Editing and encoding a 50-minute video took a full day, and the uploading process added an extra 2 hours. I did, however, realize that the resulting file size was quite substantial. Encoding it to a smaller size would require another full day's work. This made me reconsider my posting schedule from daily to either monthly or weekly. With a fresh perspective, I revisited the tags and descriptions, adhering to the advice I'd come across: fill up those 500 characters in the tags with relevant hashtags and descriptions. As the days passed, I learned that the description should accurately depict the video's contents, and the tags must be directly related. Consequently, I went back to edit many of my older videos to improve their descriptions and tags.

 It's been a months, and I haven't made much progress with my videos. I'm eager to make them more discoverable, just like the Windows DreamScene setup, which effortlessly accumulated 32k views on its own. Unfortunately, it seems that the algorithm has changed, and when I asked ChatGPT about it, I learned that YouTube is now using AI to recommend videos to viewers. This presented a new challenge, and I realized I needed to understand how to navigate AI, starting with tags and descriptions. One day, it dawned on me that AI's training relies on data, which brings us back to the importance of tags and descriptions. I was disheartened to discover that even with good tags and descriptions, my search terms were only ranking at 1 or 2. Then, during my commute to work, I had an epiphany. It struck me that YouTube is predominantly accessed on smartphones, which typically have a 4:3 aspect ratio, not the 4K video format. This sparked an idea: I should create playlists specifically formatted for smartphones. And thus, the concept of the Handphone Playlist was born. Given the popularity of short video formats, I decided to experiment with the remix button to create shorter versions of my handphone videos. To my surprise, these shorts featured a small play button that redirected viewers back to the original handphone video. This sparked another idea: I added a button in the handphone video that linked to the 4K version, enhancing the viewer's experience.

Food shorts

 While creating content for my daily and weekly uploads, I realized the need for some basic but recurring themes. I decided to focus on daily meals and drinks as a starting point. For my first video, which was about coffee, I created a separate section at B1 dedicated to coffee-related content. Additionally, I experimented with using leftover cereal, which I had previously used to make bitter coffee, and this led to the creation of the "Cereal Kitchen" content, located at B2. I created a series of videos showcasing my attempts at cooking various meals. In these videos, I employed jump cuts to highlight each ingredient and the oven, while providing step-by-step instructions for preparing simple meals. I focused on using easily accessible ingredients and baking in the oven. For instance, I demonstrated how to prepare hotdogs as meat chunks and poach eggs like a chef by gently pouring them into hot boiling water and later draining them for use. Finally, I experienced a significant increase in views, reaching 2k, for the culinary videos featuring my mom's recipes. This made me realize that if I didn't film her preparing these delicious goodies, there might come a time when she's too old to make them again.

Backstyle Journey

 Regarding my website, I came to the realization that, at 40 years old, it was becoming increasingly challenging for me to create videos from scratch, as my memory wasn't as sharp as it used to be. To address this issue and ensure I had a good record of my content, I diligently recorded a multitude of videos for my website. These videos were primarily focused on HTML animations using JavaScript and CSS. This effort not only enriched my website but also contributed to making monetization options available.

 As I go about my daily life, I've engaged in various activities and experiences, but I've often missed recording them. With age catching up, I've come to realize the importance of documenting these moments for easy reference. Even though my latest videos primarily feature AI interactions and usage, they haven't garnered many views. Nevertheless, I believe it's crucial to maintain a record of these videos for future reference.

 As I explored Singapore, I stumbled upon a significant sculpture surrounded by numerous passersby. I thought to myself, why not film it just for fun? To my surprise, the next day, I noticed an additional 2,000 views on the video. It appeared that the audience had a genuine interest in sculpture-based content. However, since I don't travel around Singapore extensively, I'm only aware of one or two places with notable sculptures to film.

Soft toy

 As I spotted some carebear around which appear after forgotten for 20years i flim it and upload to the same view 2k again. i spot another one in vending machine it generate near 2k too. Then 1 shop appear i stop fliming worry i am the one creating trend but i still bought one cheer up care bear home.

Jokes for remix

While I was waiting for my last client, I noticed a large fan that resembled my CPU fan. I decided to film it, and once again, to my surprise, it garnered 1.6k views. This got me thinking about creating more content, perhaps some light-hearted jokes related to size. However, my attempts at crafting jokes didn't yield much success, and after one or two attempts, I ran out of fresh ideas.

Web self hosting

TThis playlist is primarily driven by my concern about age catching up. I'm worried that as I grow older, I might forget how I set up certain things, just like with other Raspberry Pi software. To address this, I'm building a web server. In case my Raspberry Pi suddenly fails or experiences issues, I'll have a reference to help me rebuild it.

This playlist is dedicated to the Windows DreamScene setup guide, which has accumulated 32k views. Even though it's still searchable, AI search seems to have declined. I'm now trying to revitalize it by adding more tags and improving the description.

recently came to the realization that AI gathers information from my videos, encompassing the description, title, tags, and hashtags. However, there's one crucial aspect I'm unable to directly influence: the metrics such as likes, shares, viewer retention, and view count. These metrics all begin at zero when a video becomes public, and AI plays a pivotal role in determining how these videos are presented to the audience. I've just come to the realization that all of my video uploads have been a bit chaotic, with the category mistakenly set to "HOW TO STYLE" instead of "music." This has led me to believe that these settings are automatically pulled from my default channel settings, causing this unintentional switch to "HOW TO." As a result, it has become increasingly important to establish consistent channel settings that align with my intended content. This way, any video I upload will adhere to the same settings by default, eliminating the need to go back and make adjustments. This will help prevent instances where the category shifts from "music" to "HOW TO STYLE," which is my default channel setting. It's no wonder that my videos haven't been receiving the views they deserve, as they've been categorized under "HOW TO STYLE," which may not be enticing for viewers to click on.

Perhaps I can utilize an older smartphone to simultaneously record audio from a distance and then merge it with video during the editing process. Today, I came across many views, prompting me to revisit some music playlists as I found it challenging to fully enjoy them. I'm hoping this doesn't negatively impact my search results. I believe it might be due to a Google database error, and I'm optimistic that it will be resolved soon. I've noticed this happening once or twice a day, and it has me pondering whether I should consider creating a music channel. However, all the videos I create lack the convenience of a simple button press to switch to a relaxing DreamScene, and it appears that there are limited options for such content in my country. But any way i find that my country has limit place so i drop this channel and only upload when i am free and moving around. I have basically given up on seeing my video 0 visit everyday every since upload only 1 shot visitor recommend by youtube and zero for weeks ? This grief made me click around then youtube studio show right hand corner ideal for you. so just blindly click it then it talk about podcast. Blindly i create the podcast playlist , Firstly i put all those music and then my dreamscene 4K. After rethink there didn't say anything about redistributed music license free. I could remember trying to dig on 4million visitor dreamscene video say music is from podcast he just download and copy and upload which is redistrubted and youtube music say is free to use only in youtube not podcast. So Podcast need to highlight youtube music is allowed. if not i will just put sea sound.
